Terms & Conditions
The St. Michael’s High School Foundation Web site serves as a resource for individuals both inside and outside of the St. Michael’s community. The site functions as a source of communication among faculty, parents, students, trustees, donors, and alumni. Prospective donors, families and employees are also included in its target audience. Users are able to access donor and event information, as well as, the Foundation’s mission and history. This policy seeks to address these uses and to be flexible enough to meet future needs as they occur.
We Respect Your Privacy
At our site, we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. This means we do not require you to register or provide information to us in order to view our site. St. Michael’s High School Foundation only gathers personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, zip/postal codes, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by a visitor. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to respond to a stated desire to apply for a Foundation Scholarship, to receive the newsletter or to make a financial contribution online. This information is used solely by St. Michael’s High School Foundation or other entities who are involved in the operation of this site for internal purposes.
Use of your Personal Information
St. Michael’s High School Foundation does not sell, rent or lease its donor or event participant lists to third parties. St. Michael’s High School Foundation may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of a special event related to its mission that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your personal information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party outside of the Foundation. We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, processing transactions, or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. In most cases, this is to deliver a Foundation-related direct mailing or emailing. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
Your Credit Card Information Is Secure
We care about the safety and security of your transaction. We employ a Server Digital Certificate and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol to encrypt all data traffic. They use high grade encryption and the https security protocol to communicate with your browser software. This method is the industry standard security protocol, and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all your personal information, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
